Will chrome take & hold powdercoating?

probably better to strip the chrome completely before applying a powder coating

Ta Daz, figured that might be the answer... So next question, & topic of a new post 2 come - whats the best way to lose chrome...?

Take it to the chromers they will sort it think they reverse the process

Yes. powder coat will adhere to chrome.

Give it a quick shot blast or use something to roughen the surface and it will powder coat fine.
