Is there any way of finding out what the original Italian registration number would have been for my 1966 Li 125 series III?
This was imported into the UK in 2012.

I think they're regional if you know exactly where it came from then you might have somewhere to start.

Bear in mind it may not have been registered for years and you'd be dealing with Italian bureaucracy ...

So I think unless you have any papers or can get the importer to ask the Italian vendor then you're setting yourself up for a slog.

They are regional offices just like the UK used to be. Milan, MI then the number. Good luck with that.

I was wondering why you would want to know the scooter's original reg no .

When I got my LiS125 back in 2004, it still had the original tax disc and number plate stuffed inside the glove box. The tax disc says December 83 so it hadn't been used for over 20 years before being rescued and brought to the UK

I don't know about Citydaz, but in my case, this scooter will be going to Adria this year and I am considering ways of displaying its original number without infringing local laws?

You can buy replica italian tax discs on the fleabay, so I wanted to get the details right and order one. This would obviously add to the patina effect. :)

Like Coaster these two along with some other documents and the original steering lock key and a big bag of old spark plugs were in the toolbox when my Li arrived from Italy 8-)

In an idle moment I made this scrap art car out of one of the old plugs :|
