Hi guys.. as a new member I'd like some advice. I'm currently midway thru strip down and rebuild of my series 3 li150.. I've rode scoots for years but never had a licence, so its about time to sort it,and dvla are vague on their website as to what licence I need. Is it down to cc or kilowatt power ? CBT or A1??

Think you need a full licence with it being a 150 you can do a cbt if it’s 125 or under as far as I’m aware

Yes you will need a full licence to ride a 150 and insurance companies won't insure you for anything above a 125 if you've only got a provisional licence and you will need a cbt

Cheers for the replies, best get myself legal then.. even the local motorcycle school were unsure because a 1964 li150 has less power output than a modern 125....

You would need to take a test on at least a 395cc motorcycle to enable you to ride anything above 125cc
