Archive Copies of Old Forum

If you point your browser at https://archive.org/web/ and enter www.forums.ilambretta.com into the box it gives you access to the old forums at various times in the past couple of years. Not ideal and you can't log in etc but does at least give some access to the old posts.

We may be able to get a similar archive copy of the forum to host but that isn't certain yet.

Hi - it's good news that some bits of the old site are available, and good work from admin in getting the new site working.

If computers were cars nobody would buy one... (particuclarly Lammie owners)

However - not being a techie I don't know if this is feasible - but would it be possible for individual members to back up on their own computers, parts of the new archive, so that if a server blew up again the masjority of postings could be retrieved?

Not really no but you could always just cut and paste info that you want to keep for ever.

There are spiders you can install on your PC that can copy whole sites to your hard drive but the spider would drain the forums resources while it copied the site so I wont post a link to any of them.
