Either try a Chiselspeed panel filter or run it open mouthed.

The Casa filter is good and fits well under the panel.

Smaller carb rubber? bringing the carb closer to manifold?
I've also used a shorter manifold, can't remember where from? either Broady or Beedys
it all adds up bud

These flange manifolds were made specifically for the Casa 185 to pull the carb closer to the engine and away from the panel, so they should be ideal for the Scootopia 185.

As an alternative, I've also adapted the BGM RT195/225 flange manifolds to fit small block inlet spacing. MB also makes a cast version, as opposed the BGM which is CNC.
