Want to know which carb to choose? Having problems setting up the jetting details on your scooter? Wheter you are using a standard or tuned carb, ask your question here.
Just rebuilt a mildly tuned gp 200 engine fitting a standard scootopia 22mm carb I'm having the same problems as this thread ..https://www.scooterotica.org/forum/view ... hp?t=36474 mine's starts first kick from newly cleaned carb then progressively gets worse the more times start it as in it starts to bog down after riding it won't start at all unless you remove filter including the rubber hose ...it won't even start with the rubber hose and no air filter ....remove them both starts first time ...never come across this before I even went back to a 118 main jet still the same
Seems to have done the trick Mick York thank you ...I actually slept last night I'll give it a good run out over the weekend ,,,I ran it last night it started first kick every time .
Keep trying dropping the main - my Lince would not start well with a 123 or 118 with the filter on and would start fine with the hose off - was much better with 112 and Ok on 115 so left it there with the hose on.
I know this is somewhat counter intuitive but I'm almost sure the fuel must draw up thru the main to get to the pilot in the SH carb.
My experience is that I found the standard Scootopia supplied idle jet is labelled as a "50" but when I used a carb jet measurement tool, the hole is actually the same as a 45 Dellorto. Weird.
