Main Jet question

Postby datpat64 » Sat Oct 19, 2019 5:04 pm

I've just changed from a BGM Exhaust to a Franspped Tourer on a S3 with a TS 1.

Bike running well without changing and Jets (tick over and air slightly adjusted but no new jets).

Done a couple of plug chops today and it's running quite lean, so what main Jet do people think? Does anyone have same set up and can let me know their jetting? Bike itself is running really well through all gears and low and high revs, just worried it's bait lean and off to Southport next Friday so don't need potential issues

And why do riders think that a change of main jet will cure all problems :?

where in the range is it lean with the plug chops ?

1/4, 1/2, 3/4 , full knacker

that would indicate which setting you kneed to look at.

What carb & current jets are you using

as other people have indicated - changing main jet is useless if its lean at 1/2 throttle

All sorted. Did full throttle plug chops and looked good so we're off and running without any changes

Just full throttle? Or did you do throughout the whole range as advised above? :?
