I have spent all winter rebuilding my bike. I am nearly finished just waiting for some more chrome parts to be finished. Anyway re-fitted the engine back in the frame and connected all back up. I have managed to get it going but it seems to be over fueling, with fuel spraying out of the air intake. I previously stripped and cleaned the carb, with new jets, float and float needle and new gaskets. I cannot even put the air hose on the carb as it just fills with fuel and drowns out the engine. I do not understand, does anybody out there have any ideas. Thanking you in advance for any assistance.

I would strip the carb and make sure all the jets are present and correct and the slide isn't badly worn

Thank you for the reply's. Piston the wrong way round? Is over fueling a symptom of this? I have fitted a new piston (Mahle) but the marking on the crown was not very clear, I positioned the arrow (or what I thought was the arrow) as per the book (facing the exhaust port).
