TS1 30mm dellorto carb settings

Postby ladsdad » Tue Nov 15, 2016 11:16 am

Hi all

Would anyone be able to give me some base carb settings for a mildly tuned TS1 225, dellorto phbh 30mm running initially with a bgm clubman. I thought I'd see this question posted before but I've had a look & just can't find it so....... :)
Any guidance much appreciated thanks.

Cheers Mark.

Mark, I have just given this to Toddy also, and this is what I ran on mine but with a Franspeed Supertourer and it went really well with no bogging and good plug colours throughout:-

Main 135
Pilot 55
Choke 70
Slide 40
Atomiser AV 266
Needle X7
Float Valve 200

N.B. This is only a guideline and not a recommendation without Dyno and / or plug chops.

Hope this helps you a bit Mark,

Found this researching my issue. I have a BGM Clubman and a PHBH 30mm also was gonna follow the above to get started and maybe go ram breathe easy after a while of running open mouthed (which I can deal with later)......any idea on the above set up where the needle position would sit ?

AND....if I go with a breathe easy filter, presumably would just up jet it ?

No its definitely a 200 float valve, I think the Carb (second hand new) must have been set up for a 150 small block previously......Looking at tables it seems the 200 float valve was used in some Imola 185 set ups.

I should have recommended a 300 float valve Mickey as that is what I was running. Sorry for the error.

The needle was on P2 (from the top).
