VHSA 30 mm Delorto - TS1 set up

Hi All, apologies I have asked before elsewhere and lost some data on the subject, but having now just built my TS1 225 engine and got it riding in need to fine tweak a few things. Can I ask your valid opinions on the following:-

Points to note I have a version 3 - BGM Clubman and 30mm Delorto VHSH flatslide, not currently filtered and my preference would be to filter it.

1/ On gearing - Should I stick with the GP 200 Italian - 19/46 gearing OR go with an Li 150 gearbox and if so what front and rear sprocket for an all rounder.

2/ Ideal jetting set up for the BGM clubman, if anyone has same ?

3/ Just to be clear which screw does the mixture, is it the smaller one or the one with the spring on ? and is it inwards to richen ?

OK action as follows

Point 1 - gonna stay with GP Italian 200 box, better for my needs.

Point 2 - No idea, but gonna probably go to an expansion as i'm pretty sure its holding back.

Point 3 - its the smaller screw lol......

Did anybody have the settings for a ts on this carb as I'm about to try one ?

Just checked my reeds all good. Next step is to fit this carb. Mine is a 30 vhsa. I don't think there's much difference between the 2 carbs. I've ordered up the relative jets should have it fit this week.

Toddy,

Are you running the generic CD1 emulsion tube under the pilot jet or do you have a sized emulsion tube fitted to restrict the pilot circuit?

^... I ask as you're running a pretty big pilot, which makes me wonder whether this is then being restricted with a sized emulsifier tube (quite a common practice by some UK tuners... but not others). Depending on emulsifier tube this may make a very considerable difference to the pilot size that you need.

42 pilot over CD1 emulsion tube. The emulsion tube ain't moving unless I drill it out.
