AF Light Flywheel... cooling impovements?

Just running in my Ts1 Cutdown

There is a big gap between my AF Lightened Flywheel(Smaller lightest type) and my PM Tuning Carbon Cowl

I was reading scootering tuning guide and it was saying how important a small gap was for cooling so as i am coming to end of my running in period i was wondering if there was an easy way on reducing this gap, i do n't want to cutdown the cowl and redrill it as i may need to fit the bigger flywheel again

Has anyone been able to find a workable solution to this?

Yes Mark. You can make a doughnut shaped insert that fits between the cowl and the tips of the fins. This stops the air spalling of the end of the fins.

I made mine out of ali, but someone suggested making it out of nylon. He had used a cheap kitchen chopping board.

The late great Ian Frankland made them from PVC facia board. I have one.
