I use the stuff MB sells. Maxima I think it’s called without looking it up. It’s not the cheapest, but you can find it around £10a liter delivered on eBay.

I appreciate asking for an opinion on best oil is inviting 20different answers, but I really rate this stuff.

I use Maxima in both my 30HP RB230 and my RT195, had no issues in either clutch behaves as normal. I found it the cheapest from a motocross site apologies cannot remember the name.

Good quality oil would reccomend.

I use the Maxima 85 and can't fault it.....saying that i couldn't fault the cheaper stuff either :?

I think with the different/modern clutch compounds a more "modern" oil may be of benefit.

Think i got my last lot from Oiltech.

I am running a straight 40 mineral oil from Morris, on the recommendation of Harry Barlow.

No clutch slip yet on a 6 plate clutch of my own design, but then the engine is some way from full power at the moment.

I used to use a 75 weight oil in the winter and for some track use.
For touring, I suggest sticking with the recommended 90 weight (ST90)oils which work well when the casings have really warmed up.
Lighter oils don't offer the same protection under such prolonged loads.
Don't use EP oils as this will have an adverse affect on the clutch.
