I have a few spare phbh floats, they are all 11 gram. What would happen if I fitted one instead of the 6 gram one?

I used one in mine and it definitely ran boggy.

Also was difficult to start when warm !

In all carburettors where there is a choice of floats, (not just the PH range that are really better suited to a four stroke but modified to suit two stroke ;) ) the float weight should be heavier to allow a higher fuel level to suit the characteristics of the two stroke.

Stick with what you have (if you must run the PH range) would be my advice
