Thinking about my next pipe purchase and wondered if anyone had any experience of this exhaust, especially keen to know final drive ratio?
Cheers, Ian

4.6 - that’s impressive but then again you are a racing snake ;)

What are you fitting it to Ian? It's not dissimilar in design to the AF mid range pipe when they were made by NK. When Sticky did a TS1 pipe comparison in Scootering about 5 or 6 years ago, the mid range came out as overall winner. For touring you'll rarely hear a bad word (performance wise) about the CST3 and it's ability to pull tall gearing. As Sticky said, "it out Taffs the Taffy".

Don’t know anyone running a CST5 but I run 4.12 ( LI150 19/46) with a CST3 on my 283. I’ve run the CST3 on my TS1 briefly which was 4.45 gearing (Pacemaker. 19/46). Out performs the supertourer for roll on grunt in my opinion.

Thanks fellas
Thing is I’ve got a TS with a Taffy pipe which is great for touring but I’m after something different on my new project, and was hoping the CST5 would fit the bill, and would pull around 4.8 gearing?
Thing is, you’ll never really know until it’s on the road ;)
