58 x 116 or 60 x 115

Need help with a tuning kit, how do you tune your scooter, which kit should I choose, and all general tuning and modifcations questions are for in here.

58 x 116 or 60 x 115

I can't quite get my head around if base and head gaskets would stay the same using both of these cranks. Kit is designed to use 58 x 116. The 60 crank pushes the piston 1mm higher and pulls it 1mm lower but is that cancelled out by using the 1mm shorter rod?

If you use exactly the same packers and head gaskets, it will be the same at TDC, but will be 2mm lower ag BDC.

The crank will pull it 1mm further down and the shorter rod will take 1mm more off at BDC.

You're right about TDC.

Also keep an eye on your port durations cos the 60x115 will increase them considerably over the 58x116

Thanks chaps, I'll stick with the 58 x 116 then, I figured it wouldn't be so simple.
