muggy 225 kit

Need help with a tuning kit, how do you tune your scooter, which kit should I choose, and all general tuning and modifcations questions are for in here.

ive bought a kit second hand and when going through parts found that the piston gudgeon pin is 4 mm short is this normal

Not sure about your specific pin, however, Mugellos have come with a range of different pistons over the years and the specification of pistons and pins have been quite different, some of the pins are typically thick walled and others very thin and light. As such it is difficult to know exactly what you have, with there being a possibility that the pin length on yours is correct for the location of the circlip slots (?). However, if you're finding that the pin is much shorter than the measurement from one circlip groove to the other then I'd suspect that it may be the wrong pin for that piston (200 pin for 186 piston, or 200 pin for 225 piston).

As it's taken a while for anyone to respond, you may have sorted this by now.... hopefully.
