Tutto Lambretta Stratos Clutch Spider

If you have a Tutto Lambretta Stratos clutch spider in your engine you probably want to inspect it

Mine has disintegrated in my scooter after only a few thousand miles... All of the spider legs have cracked and fallen off

Looks like a weakness at the spring seats...

Oh dear.I think mine is one of these, stratos, Casa, Tuttu, FA Italia, one and the same aren’t they? Done probably 5 k on it, if nothing happens I wasn’t planning on stripping it down until next winter.

Can’t see the picture btw.

Terrifying! Happy to hear you're still in one piece after that let go.

Email Tutto Lambretta/Stratos those photos. I've found that (unlike many other manufacturers) they are great honoring warranties, issuing refunds, and will update products and change manufacturing techniques based on feedback. Honestly, that should have never made it past the prototype phase, but hopefully they pull the product, and promptly issue a refund.

IMO.
There are some real schoolboy errors with this design of clutch spider.
No way is this strong enough in a modded Lammy.
I wouldn't trust it in a 125!

I was thinking of using one of these spiders but obviously not now.

Are there any other decent ones?

The MB one is out of my price range.

There are extended indian ones for about £20. Are these any good?

It's for a low power motor maybe 17bhp with about the same torque.

Can anyone confirm if this is one of the dodgy spiders.
It's stamped 'made in Italy' whereas the sprocket says Stratos Image
