Its the dome height on the casa blackline Piston that is different, much flatter than the usual 7mm dome height of the Meteor, Wossner, Asso etc etc.

Good marketing trick though, forcing you to buy a new head you otherwise wouldn’t need . :?

This can happen, especially with some forged piston makes.

Harry Barlow (Pro-porting) does a line in replacement TS1 pistons.

it might be worth contacting him.

I have used them all fine for me ,as been said in standard untuned barrels and Ron does state this on adverts I have seen , in fact I just purchased a couple for spares as he has them on offer

I am about to order a casa black line piston for my TS1 in size B, is this the same size as my existing Asso piston?

It should be.
Always best to measure it up and make sure.

If you use the casa black line piston you will need the matching casa head that goes with it as they’re a flat top rather than the standard 7mm dome height like the Asso.

Hi F.
I was thinking of changing to a casa head for better cooling qualities anyway.
Cheers.

I enquired about these radiale heads a while back
& they told me they do them in same profile as a std type asso piston

As with all replacement pistons in any bore irrespective whether its the correct piston, i:e original piston for the cylinder the the piston to bore clearance should be checked

hi Simon, off the top of my head its as follows - main jet 137/or maybe 138?, pilot 55, needle float jet 300, choke 70, atomiser av 266 , slide 40, slide needle x13 top clip, running through a foam remote filter. hope this helps ;)
