I think everyone is obsessed with BHP these days.
My TS1 is a low by comparison with some figures I have seen quoted by other TS1 owners, but it is good for 75 mph and is happy cruising at 60 mph.

Hi Nick. I think you are mis-reading the torque figure. Now we can see your dyno, the torque looks to be about 24-25ftlbs. That is still a great figure, but I think you should have been reading the lower curves on the graph for the torque.

Enjoy

The print out gives the torque figure at the top of the sheet.

Yes, ROClarke is right, the torque figure is in the small print at the top of the print-out. 24.6ftlbs. Tasty.

My SST is the smoothest Lambretta i've ever ridden. Just trying to justify getting another one for my other scoot. :?

Thanks Martin, you are of course correct. I'll have to start drinking because I make better sense of things then (at least that's what it seems like). What is worse I had read the torque reading before typing the wrong one, doh!!

Well the engine arrived last Thursday ahead of the blockage at the ports thankfully.
From the moment you open the crate you know you are looking at a well engineered piece of kit.
For example we all know what a pain it is to get the clutch cable on the lever on the crankcase, you have to somehow prise the lever forward in order to get the brass trumion on.
Casa have simply re-designed the lever and given it a square end so you can get a 19 mm spanner on it.
Anyway I have been taking my time installing the engine but thought I had better get a wriggle on as the weather forecast did not look too good for today, how right it was, so I took it out for a shake down round my village yesterday afternoon.
Intial impressions are that this is a seriously quick engine, very quick not like any Lambretta engine I have ever ridden.
I have it a handful without thinking in second gear and the front wheel came up and scared me a bit,but too be honest thats what I wanted.
Don’t get me wrong before the act of hooliganism the engine was very drive able and not on or off the power as we sat.
To conclude, early days yet but I am so glad I did not listen to the pessimism over the cost etc,as they say you only live once.

Has anyone fitted the water pump and cylinder head to one of these yet?
Or
Any thoughts on potential benefits/disadvantages, apart from the extra cost.
