What Gearbox for a Spanish LI150 Special

Postby Eibar-Jet200 » Sat Sep 27, 2014 3:30 pm

Hi all,

Just in the process of changing my rear hub bearing and thought while the casing is empty what is the best gear bx to go in other than the big gap Spanish one that is currently there.

I have a complete Pacemaker box I could put in or an Italian LI150 but missing a christmas tree.

It is a Standard 150 with a Fresco on it.

What would you guys recommend: Pacemaker or LI150? Or just live with the Spanish box.

Your help is most appreciated.

John

God no, if you have a chance to rid yourself of the spanish box do so! assuming its definitely the series 3 spanish box and not the series 2 one? You have counted the teeth I assume?

If you can afford to then go for an italian Li150 box as they are spaced out more evenly and are a good box if you wish to tune further in the future.I had the spanish box in mine and the jump was definitely noticeable with an expansion pipe.
Your looking for 37 teeth on 3rd gear (italian) as the spanish S3 boxes had 39

Thank you Guys for the responses.
Well I might just put the Pacemaker box in.
It is the Spanish box that I have taken out - Big gap.

That is the job for the weekend.

Cheers
