Bgm stator wiring diagram

Postby a-teamlambretta » Sun Apr 03, 2022 2:16 pm

Just about to fit a motor into a GP . I bought the GP for the engine which is going into my series 1....so all wiring is for electronic with the Usual cdi and regulator...all which stayed on the gp. I rebuilt a 175 motor to go back in the gp...it came with a new bgm ac stator the one with the single thick yellow wire. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or can assist in helping.

Cheers Simon

Red ,green, white to the CDI , yellow to the regulator.
Get the BGM regulator to assist the wiring up to the loom.

Yes , wired up like that and just left the yellow disconnected ...just to see if I had a spark...but no spark. Think I have a duff stator or miss aligned trigger. Will fetch my test meter home and I do have a known good stator/flywheel of the other motor.

Thanks for the help....I had wired it up correctly...after trying 3 cdi's as when putting green from stator to earth whilst kicking over got a spark ...then the lightbulb moment...I wonder if I change the spark plug..yes brand new plug no spark...put an old one in and now has spark and up and running... moral of the story.....check spark plug first
