Oiltek fuel gauge mounting?

Postby Lord-Spanner » Sat Jul 30, 2022 8:23 am

I have purchased an oiltek long range tank (it's like a piece of art work too) with a sender and fuel gauge as I don't like not knowing how much juice is left in the tank, so to those who have this set up how/where have you mounted your gauge? I don't really want a legshield tool box as that's where some are mounted so any other ideas/pictures please?

HI do not have a fuel gauge but how about having a bracket made and fix to the top of the leggies using a horn cast fixing the cable could then come up inside the horn cast?

Yes Shane, I found a 52mm mounting pod on ebay that can be shaped to the legshield profile, just in the process of blending it in with a skim of filler after bolting it on, will post some pix when I've finished it. 8-) 8-)

I think the gauges and senders are acquired from a boating company, give them a bell and ask the question, they were very helpful when I spoke to them. 8-)
