Good to meet you Dale, very impressed with the mileage on the second day. Shame about your buddy, has he got his scoot back home yet?

Hi Warren
hope you got back safely, I put some big miles on my return also arriving back near Bath at 11:30 on tues.
Graham had to wait around all day for someone to recover his scoot then get a hire car home arriving home about 7pm.
But were all home safely after a great trip
Cheers Dale

Got home about 4'ish to Guildford, well about a mile short of home when something went clonk in my gearbox when changing down and the rear wheel locked up leaving skid marks?! Kept it upright and pulled up safely. Within 10 mins my wife was there with my van to do the last mile. So lucky lucky, 1500 miles roughly round trip, for me an epic adventure.

I did 1800 miles to the euro and back on one. 30mm PHBH probably 13 or 14 miles per litre but didn't monitor it precisely. It was on a fully laden S2. It spent most of the journey revving between 5000 and 5500 which equates with just over 50-55mph. On the return journey from the ferry port I opened it up and it would rev over 7000 on the flat without reaching wide open throttle.

I could have taken my ts1 to the euro which would have coped a bit better with the autobahn riding but, that said, if I go to Austria next year I shall probably choose the GT186 again. It is a joy to ride.

I have briefly ridden an rb20 when they came out. My impression at the time was that it was ok for quick acceleration but not much fun riding on minor roads.

Hope this helps you make a good call ;-)

I used just over 8 litres of two stroke mixing at 4% so ive averaged around 48mpg which I think is great for a revy 230.

More than happy with my GT200 kit, only done 700 miles on it so far, but so far so good. I'm not getting as good economy as you guys though, I'm getting around 10-11 miles per litre, running with 30mm PHBH....being 6'3" and around 16st probably doesn't help
