i have a very late 1965 tv175 frame number starts with 550, engine starts with 530 it seam like theres alot of differance in the numbers! but after a few convos with other tv riders they could be orginal from the factor as at the time the production was going to spain and the tv was made in batches ? :?:

You can never say never with Lambretta but that bigger difference I would say it is unlikely to be the original engine.

Just for reference.

These buttons are from a Becme TV S2 (I might clean them one day :) ).
If you have Sticky's book,he has a photo with all the S3 light switches.

This is a G.P.M. Milano switch.
Problem is that I cannot remember if I removed it from a GT or a TV175 :?

Dimitrios,
That is my problem, I have both, but not sure if the TV175 II switch transitioned onto the early (pre mod) TV175 III models.
Maybe all TV 3 (175 & 200) models had the same style switch?

According to Sticky's book, early TV175 S3 were using the same switch as TV S2.
The other type, was used on later models (Both 175 and 200).

This is the SX200 switch with white buttons,
it has fewer ridges than the one used on TV models,
the majority of the remade (if not all) looks like the SX type.

there a few little things about an early tv175...non of which i knew about until i read vittorios book..and did a comparison ... black tank straps, small piece of metal holding the side panel retaining clip in place, small 2.5 speedo cable,...etc. will get some pics up soon.this is a very original,un touched scooter.

Mine has the small piece of metal holding the side panel retaining clip in place - bloody silly idea as makes wheel changing very awkward. I've bent it to allow the clips to rotate.

although this is a TV200, as they were built in batches along with the TV175 they would have had items like switches in common..

VIN on this is 5414xx

early version of TV175 S3 shown on brochure from May 1962 showing "Special" panels, but no disc brake and what appears to be no rear flash.

My theory is that the disc brake was approved for production just before launch of the S3 and Innocenti opted to include it, rather than the Special panels to keep the announced price the same.

As TV2 and TV3 links are the same, it brings up the thought were Innocenti working on the disc brake for the S2 but had not perfected it yet?

from the pre-mod parts book:
