Can anybody tell me when in it's production run did the SX200 change from bolt in fork buffers to push fit.
Was it when the horn cast badge and toolbox changed or did they change at an earlier point.

I assumed that only the last few models in the range would have the push in buffers
as Innocenti was heading into the production of the GP model in late 1968.
I know the changes to push in buffers were announced in spring of 1968 but was wondering
if anyone had any detailed information as to what frame number range they were used in.

My 1968 SX200 on a G plate frame number starting 849*** is pretty much as per the final batch: Clip on panels, Rectangular front badge, grey plastic glovebox, push in fork buffers, chrome trim on mudguard.
I bought it as an apparently original but slightly incomplete project, so would be interested to know if it should have:
1) GP fork links and loose ball rods?
2) an SX or GP front disc?
2) silver rims, hubs, forks, dampers and stand?

I believe the SX has a grease nipple and the GP doesn't ....

my 1967 sx150 frame number 765*** has a rectangular horncast badge although the records for this period suggest the rectangular badge wasn't introduced until early 1968, could anyone shed any light on this, I realise it doesn't effect any performance but its just a question to be answered. I know the sx was imported into England in 1997 could it be that the Italian production run was slightly different to the UK production runs? There is also a connected issue which is that when the headset is turned fully to the right it rubs off a line of paint about an inch long at the top of the horncast this might just be an anomaly caused by poor re-build alignment of the leg shields or is it that the wrong horncast is fitted? It would be good to hear other members thoughts on this?

as much as a prompt to get the question back to the top for a better answer as anything else, but as far as I know there are no differences between any Italian pre-GP frames except the forks

A hard one for the anoraks :)
I have an original SX badge fitted,I know because I had bought the scooter in a complete original state,
is the other rear badge (on the rack) an original too?
It is on an original badge holder but the Innocenti lettering is different :?

I know scooter emporium were selling a 60s aftermarket rear frame
badge recently, so maybe it is one of these?

What standard seat is correct for 1968 SX200? I have a Noemi Rosa frame to use, but not sure if this is correct. Any guidance much appreciated.

not sure on the letter style as my original badge has long gone, but i do remember it had yellowed like the one on the rack. i thought they were supposed to be like that and was dissapointed when the replacement was white :)

Hello,

What color code was used for a 1967 white SX150, were there two different shades of white used?
Am I right saying Hawthorn White and Nouvo White?

Was it also Lechler Manufacturered?

Thank you.

^^^^ Late 1968 onwards SX150s were Hawthorn White (lechler 8082). Some were all white and some had blue or red side panels and horncast. Earlier SX200s were New White (lechler 8059), but the earlier SX150s looked whiteish but were Spring Grey (lechler 8070). There were also green and orange ones as well. That's as I understand it unless anyone else knows different!
