Are the rear 'innocenti' frame badges on 1969 dl150's plastic or metal?

And who does good copies

Cheers

On my original late 1971 GP150 the rear frame 'Innocenti' badge was plastic....

Yes according to your number it should be a GP125 around mid 1969. Usually (but not always) will have an engine number a couple of hundred away from the frame number. A couple of hundred can also mean a few hundred and is not an exact science.

GP Red - Does anyone have a scanned copy of the article that I recall Adam Winstone and others wrote regarding the different GP Red colours used between 1969 and 1971, covering the 8073, Martian red debate? I recall it was in JetSet, but maybe Scootering?

Many thanks

I haven't got a copy, but if I think it was proved that the solid red GPs were not the same as the red and white GP150s (which probably are 8073). Adam kindly sent me the formula for martian red matched off his? 1970 GP200. If you need it PM me your email and I'll forward it to you.

Not 'proved/proven' (difficult to do) but after much searching we found that EVERY unrestored red GP/DL that we had access to was the same orange-red colour, none of them were 8073 (the colour quoted by most respected documents)... and a Lechler dealer in UK studied an original sample and concluded that it was not, and never had been, 8073.

We cannot state with 100% certainty that not a single GP/DL ever left the factory in 8073, just that it is highly unlikely. The error simply seems to be an admin error, which once put into print has been repeated over and over again.
