A battery tray GP200 is not for the Italian market, so I would say unlikely to have an ink splat.

Sorry this reply is a bit late, but I've just joined the forum. My 1971 DL/GP150 which has been imported from South Africa has a battery tray and an inkspot. I believe it depends on which market the scooter was built for.
