The above events of 2007 had a couple of historic effects upon the LCGB in the way the club runs its current members rallies, one purely by an act of "God" in that the Stratford rally had to be cancelled within a week of the actual date because of the national floods the country had sustained.
The pre-booked Venue at Stratford race coarse was totally ruined by flood water from the river Avon, the height the water reached can be seen on this picture taken on the way down to the substitute venue (Red line)

Pictures also show the directions left at the Race coarse for those LCGB members who hadn't heard of the cancelation due to the tight time table of change! ............... Looking back it worked out well on a number of fronts.
With the kind help from the local LCGB members a new venue was found and that venue has since become a firm favourite with the membership ............" Shipston on Stour " and many a good time has since been enjoyed there and hopefully many more in the future.
As you can see from the above patch / pin badge ect, all the club memorabilia had been manufactured with Stratford named as the host.
Finally the 4 nations events we currently enjoy all started from the above anniversary event held in New Galloway Scotland.
The LCGB had decided to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Lambretta by running 4 events, 1 in the South, 1 in the Midlands, 1 in the North and finally 1 in Scotland.
Because of the clubs close relationship with the LC of Scotland it was decided to ask the LCS to join us in the 60th anniversary celebration which of coarse they accepted (love a party)
The New Galloway event was so successfull the LCGB & LCS decided to run a similar members rally annually at alternative pre-decided venues, the first joint rally (2 nations) was held in Perthshire in 2008

It was here the joint committee's decided to open the event up to our friends in Northern Ireland LC ............... the then 3 nations rally has since grown to include the Republic or Ireland and todays 4 Nations event many of us have enjoy today
