Most of mine have been faulty.

The latest one won't allow the pin to enter the retainer.

So, if the intention is to advertise the LCGB, then they're redundant.

Mine collect dust.

Sorry to hear that, we send out over 5000 and tend to get less than 50 returned as faulty (we think due to being damaged in the post system)
If you'd like a replacement please send your damaged badge to me at the address in JetSet and I'll be happy to send out a new one undamaged.

Most of them are an easy repair and just need the clasp bending back straight as they have been flattened probably through piling whilst in their Jet Set packaging. I know that cos I have a perfect clasp imprint in my Jet Set

Yes, I have some remaining from every year, although very limited quantities.

Send me an email: lcgbshop@btinternet.com and we can go from there ;)

I got annoyed when the latest badge, 2019, turned up with another mangled pin.

So, one suitably sized set of pliers to remove the pin, a Dremmel with a metal grinding attachment to remove the remaining dabs of solder and a J B Weld mixture* to attach the new pin arrangement and hey presto...

* Other steel epoxies are available I'm sure.

You must be our most unlucky member when it comes to badges (or your postie really ahs it in for you)! Nice fix though
This year I have had under 10 returned to date (I realise that a lot of people won't bother to send them back)
If anyone needs a replacement please send me the damaged one and I'll get a new one in the post

The postie? Ha, ha. He might have it in for me... He never shuts the gate!

I appreciate the offer to swap affected badges, but it does seem to be a bit, erm, onerous.

The only badge that hasn't been affected was last years'; that had a pin as per the conversion.

The conversion really doesn't take much time; it's only the drying time one has to be patient for.

And, because even I could do it, I thought I'd share it as a top tip!

Can JB weld be used on other metals?

Erm, wherever I look it just says metal.

Even https://www.jbweld.com/collections/metal lumps them all together.

Maybe just give it a go?
