So it's been a while since I updated this. Had a week off last week so a spare day I had I got the chop over to my brother in laws who will be doing the fab work on it.
He's built many Scooter chops in his time and restores WWII vehicles for a living so is handy with a welder.

From this pic you can see what is needed to get the geomatory correct for a comfy ride.

Hopefully be more updates soon!!

Just a little update.
Turns out it's an Indian GP frame from 1976 so from the second year of production.
Thanks to Pete Davis got the info

Dug this out again let’s see if we can’t get it done this time.
Still gonna be 80’s but with less flake, I love my Metalflake but seems to be a lot doing full blown flake now specially on GP’s. My cutdown will still be getting flaked though 8-)

Going for a similar style to the original ‘Sunburst Finish’

Similar in that I will be using extended forks and the same amount of brightwork, I won’t be using the panels at this point either.
Paint is going to be a straight gloss black with some custom panel paint, going with a Hellraiser theme 8-)

So I’ve spent a couple of hours grinding away the crap welding on the frame to get it nice and smooth ready for powdercoating gloss black.
Been intouch with a guy about some one off brass parts.
Then today thought I would get my chrome stash out to see where I’m at, will only need forks, rims and flywheel cover plating next.
