model D front brake

Does anybody know if the inner surface of the drum can be skimmed on a model D? Mine is Very rusty and there wasn't a great deal of cast iron for the braking surface to begin with.

If it is just rusty, then use 80 grit sandpaper and clean it up. If it is badly scored, replace it.

Give it a go with sandpaper first. You never know.
