Now i think the help on here has sorted my electrics I can try to get my scooter running.
The carb however was seized solid and the slide & needle knackered!
Will this fit my standard TV2 carb even though it’s for a different scooter?

If not, where could I get one from?
Also which needle do I need & who / where would you suggest I get it?

Short answer is no
Getting parts for the Mb23 is nigh on impossible bar gaskets n jets.
A complete unit sometimes appears on flebay but go for silly money.
Best bet is throw the carb into a bucket of diesel/ kerosene and let it soak for ages.
In the meantime go buy a spaco reproduction as a get by although smaller 19mm from a reputable dealer. ;)

Thanks guys, I have soaked & cleaned the carb. The issue was that I mangled the slide when trying to unseize it! Given how much a new carb is, I’ll try to file / smooth it into shape & see if it works. If not, I’ll have to buy a new 1.
