Fitting front hub

Postby WOO » Wed Dec 06, 2017 9:20 pm

restoration of 1960 LI125
Any Ideas
I have installed new fork links and rebuilt my front hub with all new stuff.
The fork arms squeeze in a bit when i tighten the 2 new dome nuts, is this usual?.
Its the same hub that has always been with the scooter
i have carefully followed the original parts book so no parts are missing
I could use spacer washers between the half nuts and the inside of the fork legs to overcome this problem but the parts book does not show spacer washers in this location.

If using pattern fork links, seen pictures of a set not machined correctly for hub spindle fitment. If you bought cheapo pattern links of Ebay and not from one of the main shop dealers, for safety's sake, change them before they snap in two.
