It depends on whereabouts in the exhaust tract you are measuring it.

Just thinking of wrapping exhaust a jl3 to quieten it a bit.Already built a muffler which has helped but looking to wrap it in silicone or something. The fibreglass wrap doesnt do much.

I pondered an exhaust wrap. I've a CST3 and it's loud. The sort of loud that sends dogs mad as you pass by. The sort of loud where people look round as you pass by and look at you as if to say "Is there any need for that"!?

But, it's a superb exhaust. Mustn't forget the earplugs for France and Belgium next week!

The sort of loud....when i ride by the shops up the road from me all the mums and older folks turn and look at me with disgust, then as im putting the scooter away stand at the bottom of my drive and shout “EXCUSE ME!!” again with a look of disgust on their little faces, then as im partially deaf i usually miss the forthcoming barrage of abuse shouted at me.

Now if its that sort of loud, it really is LOUD!

Yes good idea. exhaust wrap may just take the “ring ding ding” out of the exhaust. My CST3 is on the loud side.
I’ve swapped back temporarily to my super tourer as I’m using the CST on another scooter and the difference is surprising. The ST is certainly less anti social. A deeper note. The CST3 is a far better pipe though on both the TS1 and the 283.
