Took a phbh26mm carb off the mk1 185 mugello barrel that’s been on for years to fit an sh1 manifold and there’s no way the 20mm carb will fit because it clashes with the 200cc style silent block.
It’s as if the manifold studs aren’t at the proper angle on the barrel. Was this a known issue with the Mk 1.....

You need to fit a TV175 inlet manifold, they are longer and let the carb clear everything.
It’s a bit of a coincidence because I’ve got one for sale!

It is a tv manifold. The length isn’t the problem it’s the angle. It throws the carb into the silent block. All I want to know is was there an issue with the mk1 mugello & the sh1 carb set up...

I’m sure you’re right. I seem to remember having the same issue once. I believe I got round it by slotting the manifold mounting holes and rematching the inlet manifold to cylinder.
