SIP speedo

Postby 515paul » Wed Nov 09, 2016 7:33 pm

I need a new black box for my speedo, the pictures on-line show a different connector to my old one, my black box is fitted near the rectifier so I use that extension loom thing, this is the connector that is different, any ideas ?
my SIP speedo has been great , but now when I ride my scooter the rev counter slowly goes to max and the speedo reads 124mph, I've checked everything, even changed thr resistor plug and cap for new ones

Still no further with my speedo problem, I asked a well know supplier about the connectors on the new and old power boxes, they didn't know, the other one where I got the speedo from, no reply yet, great, my detective work has worked out that the connectors on version 1 that I have are different to version two.

next question, has anybody got the GPS sensor for their SIP speedo, if so where did you mount it, I have asked two scooter shops that sell them, both times got vague answer, can they be fitted under the headset ?

I'd expect that they need to be able to 'see' the sky

3 of our club members have them fitted(GPS) all around the handlebar disc brake master cylinder, it does say does say don’t cover with metal as it can interfere with the signal.
The Mk1 and 2 are different with two new connections, one for GPS and the other for the EGT installation ;)
