I know these existed but how did they come? Would it have been a frame with the Innocenti i and stars but no number, would it have an IGM stamp as well? I’ve seen a frame with the i and starts but it has no numbers at all and no battery tray?

There was a frame on eBay a couple of years ago without numbers. Factory replacement. There were different DGMs for the frame so there must have been different stamps on the replacement frames. I've have wondered how the number would be stamped on a frame. Never see any genuine number stamps up for sale. What a job as well to stamp as per original. Xenia on here had a blank frame for sale many years ago

Are they stamped or engraved? If they were stamped would they be faint towards the edges of the circular tube because the impact would be absorbed by the highest point?

There was a video about a few years ago showing the frame numbers being done in the factory, they had a machine that stamped the numbers in one while the frame tube was red hot. Does any one else remember seeing this?l

They came with the innocenti logo in a circle and the stars.
No DGM and no battery tray.
Changes to petrol tap hinge, back light fixing as per changes with the stamped frames over the few years of GP production.
I ran one on the road for years.I wasn't confident we could stamp the number properly. So I stamped the number in a different place. It was only a pain with one MOT tester and he was fine once he was shown where it was ( needed some disassembly ).
