
Is a series 2 frame the same as series 3 in that all three struts should line up?

The front strut rubber buffers are approximately ~8mm thick. As far as I know no one makes them. There are good pictures in Scooter Nova #26 of Dean Orton making a set for a TV/2 rustoration.

Thanks for that. I have just read the article and, yes, according to Dean, the two thicknesses originally were 3mm and 8mm at the front. I suspect I must have just doubled up on the remade 4mm ones when I rebuilt the Spanish S2.
This gets me back to the original question as to whether the struts should be in line. I now suspect not.
