Hi all my front wheel locked up on me i ended up in a ditch after going down a embankment and smashing the front end and and leg shields. How bad is it got to be before they right it off.
Cheers all.

Was there anyone/anything else which needs addressing with insurance? if not then get your bike back to your house and deal with the damaged scooter. It might cost but probably easier ( and maybe even cheaper) then dealing with insurance companies. Paul

Agreed, plus if the insurer doesn't write it of they may tell you to go to one of their approved repairer that knows nothing about Lambrettas and where to get quality parts from

How much is the scooter worth (from the insurers point of view), how much to repair ?
With parts, paint spraying and various other costs (frame alignment check ?) it won't be cheap and may be a write off. A few lads who broke down/crashed abroad had the scooters written off rather than repatriate and repair, insurers seem to write off easier than they used to.
