Just rebuilding a set of forks
(Perhaps a rhetorical question) The rubber bushes seem too wide to fit/leave any travel when attempting to refit links. I imagine this may well be a common, though up to now not previously encountered problem. The removed bushes fitted in the fork boots with no issues & the gap in the boots is relatively equal with no obvious signs of overtightening of fork link bolts in the past. I imagine it's a case of shaving down the rubber bushes to achieve the necessary clearance, if so hacksaw/sharp blade? Any advice gratefully received, with thanks!
