Technical help for Series one, two and three Lambrettas. Models include the Li, Li Special, TV, SX, GP, Serveta and API/SIL models

Hi. I'm hoping someone out there might be able to help me with some details on the above ignition. I have been given a problem to try sort out on a RB250 with the ignition fitted but somehow not properly done. The details are a little sketchy and not helped by the lack of fitting instructions. It goes something along the lines of initial setting up at 25 degrees at tickover and it should start to drop back to the desired firing point when the revs are around 4000+. Somehow it's not retarding near enough when revved. I've not yet looked at the scooter but thought asking on here might help me out, so if anyone has any tips or hints to possibly make my task easier I'd be very grateful. I'm not too electrical savvy so simple non tech descriptions please.
Thanks, Dave.

Thanks for your reply, very kind of you. What engine size have you fitted yours to ? I've since found the fitting instructions online which will help.

There's a little bit more info here on the timing curve... second comment down "At fast tick over its 25 degrees then retards back to 17 degrees by 5000 rpm"
