Anyone had cable liner movement in the headset?
Bult a SIL GP a few years ago and the gear shift have never been consistent.
Anyway, I think I found the culprit with both gear cable liners moving out of the headset clamp when the gears are changed.
Im thinking a bit of tape around the cable liner end to tighten the fit or maybe a dab of glue in the cable liner end going into the headset
Dont really want to go and fit a new clamp..
Pointers welcome
Cheers

That’s pretty common. I’ll admit to using masking tape around the top of the cable outer

I’ve just done this very job, I’d go for the electrical tape around the nipple for ease of redoing it again if need be.
Swine of a job, but good luck.
