What is the best Transmission oil to use for an original untouched 1963 Li125 engine.

A straight 90 oil is recommended. (ST90).

Just that i've heard some people say you can use ordinary engine oil. Didn't think it was right.

Questions about oil are normally a cause for heated discussion, for some reason people hold their beliefs on choice of oil more preciously than fanatics hold their religious beliefs.
ST 90 is the no brainer as decreed by the prophet Innocenti.
40/10 the choice of radicals and non believers
