Technical help for Series one, two and three Lambrettas. Models include the Li, Li Special, TV, SX, GP, Serveta and API/SIL models

Hi
I need a new light/horn switch for my Spanish Winter model. It looks identical to the standard Series 3 Li switch.
It doesn't have to be good looking just has to work, but from experience with my Series 3 build, quality varies enormously.
Scootopia do a DC version which looks good, and their products have a good reputation but my bike is AC. Any difference in the AC to DC that should bother me?
Many thanks
Warren

I have changed my series 2 from AC to DC using the same switch with no problem and I cannot see why it should.

As above ^. Changed from AC to full DC and left the switch as is.

Cool, thanks for the replies, so even though I'm keeping the AC system, essentially there isn't a difference, it's just called a DC switch, and being from this particular supplier should work as it should unlike so many on the market?
Thanks again

I think whenever DC is mentioned be it looms or light switches or ignitions its intended for use on bikes with a battery. The loom may have an extra wire to the Battery that you can use or tape up. Ignition switches may have a parking light position to have parking lights on again supplied by the battery. It may have different colour coded wires anyway. A switch is a switch as is a wire. It's not bothered if it's AC or DC bit like some people I know.
