Cheers Mkmonty for the advice, more than happy with the front light now ! With the wires in the correct place. The only issue now is the the rear tail light when on sidelights " nothing " brake light works though, it does work though when on the main light switch if that makes sense.

Many thanks for your help. I may just quit while I'm ahead.

Cheers :D

I don't know if you have an ignition light switch or a bar li type switch. The tail light is the black going back from the headset that should have a supply when any light setting is made. The side light front should only be on till the headlight is on. Normally yellow. Good luck.

I bought the light switch from Rimini so hopefully good quality. I think the way to go now is to fit an ignition switch and stop being a tight arse lol. Any ideas which are decent quality ignition switches for a series 2 ? Will one fit also, seeing as though it has just had the kill switch from new I' m assuming ?

Thanks

Yes it will fit with no issue.

Casa do a nice one, to be honest I've never had a problem with the cheaper ones but I only use them for the igntion circuit.

Umm is this gonna be a jockeys light and an ignition switch in a series 2 headset? It's gonna get crowded!

If you literally are only going to use it for on and off ignition then yea it's a simple enough fit but you'll likely have to fiddle with what wires to cut right back I would think.

Personally I dont know why anyone bothers fitting ignition switches to S2's :?

If you had seen my bike you would realise it's nothing to do with security lol

Like Toddy says personal choice.

Thanks for the opinions and objective replies, they are appreciated.

Really happy with the front light now, brilliant beam, high and low.

In my case I went Wassell and a battery to power a digital speedo with petrol gauge. Not wanting it powered all the time I went for an ignition switch to stop tha battery going flat. That then left a redundant light switch so it was converted to run indicators. Then we went down the Jocky headlight route and Coaster tried HID. Now my headset and my horn casting is a tight fit.
Its all a bit of a slippery slope, stick with your kill button..
