Horn Woes

Troops, no doubt this will pale into absolute insignificance after most of you recover from the C2C but hopefully someone can help. Story below

Horn didn't work
Bought a new switch
Horn worked
Switched the beast on this afternoon and horn was constantly on and wouldn't switch off.

Switch that was bought wasn't cheap but wasn't the best quality

Anyone had this before or can recommend a good quality switch?

it's clearly earthing out somewhere.. either the switch is fooked or you gotta a bare wire somewhere... switches??.. Scootopia...

I think I'm correct, but the horn has a constant positive supply to it. However the circuit is broken at the switch as you drive around. It is when you press the horn button that the circuit is complete by the switch creating an earth. So if you're horn is constantly on, then it must be earthing out. First thing to check is the spade connectors at the horn to make sure it's not earthing out there. Or it could be a bare horn wire in Horncast that's earthing. Can't thinks it's the switch if you bought a quality one. Good luck

Providing the wiring isn't too tight, remove the switch screws and lift the switch away from the throttle housing, this will show if the switch is constantly earthed out. If horn still on then the problem is elsewhere.
