You'll get lots of different views on this, I'd suspect. There's no right or wrong answer.
I had a 175 Indian conversion barrel years back with an Asso piston. I didn't get the piston to bore clearance checked and, having run it in for hundreds of miles, I seized it, cleaned it up, seized again etc. My learning point from this was get the clearance properly checked.
I gave up in the end and invested in a Mugello 186. Which leads me on to the next point, you may be better saving, say, another £250 and buying, say, a GT 186
Carburettor - a Mikuni TM24 or a Dellorto PHBL25 would be good, oh, and Scootopia are having SH2/22 Dellortos remade.
If I was you (again this is only my opinion) I'd either:
(i) save for the GT186 and run it through the airbox with any of the carbs mentioned, or
(ii) get an old SX150/ GP 150 barrel and take it to a tuner who can just release a little more from the timings and who can rebore it to a 175. Then there's the question of what piston to go for .....
In the favour of the GT186 kit, there are lots of things you can do at a later date to release loads more power.
