Casing damage

I have just started stripping my Li 125 engine ready for a rebuild, and I have found this. Is it repairable?

When you remove the drive plate just file that bit out, it won't hurt anything.

Oh right, I was expecting i would need to have it welded. So just file back the damaged area? Thanks for the quick reply
