Clutch cable

I am cabling up a new build and need tips on setting clutch cable.This always ends in frayed nerves and cable
This is what I normally do.
Slide on trunnion
Push clutch arm forward till it stops
Slide trunnion so it sits in correct place.(cable not in slot on lever)
Nip up trunnion
Tighten trunnion
Place cable in correct position in clutch arm
Use adjuster to get correct operation.
Any tips appreciated

That's how I do it,but I set the adjuster mid way so it can go in or out
