Speedo pointer

Postby Edward9116 » Thu May 28, 2015 7:18 pm

Got a 1963 li125 series 3 where the speedo glass has faded and the top and bottom faces below have gone yellow and difficult to read . Has anyone any idea how the pointer comes off to renew lower face. I have tried pulling it ,prising it to no avail . Maybe it's rusted on? Much appreciate any help.

I've never had to take the pointer off when I've changed the face.Remove the top face and lift the pointer away from the stop, you can then slide the bottom face off, replace in the same order.it makes its a lot easier if you remove the speedo workings from the case,to do this just remove the nut at the back of the speedo.
